Nene wants West Ham chance in final two games

first_imgWest Ham forward Nene is ready to start his first game for the club against Everton on Saturday and wants to play a major role in the final two games of the season. The Brazilian forward has struggled to make any major impact following his move to Upton Park back in February. With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho facing lengthy spells on the sidelines through injury, West Ham are struggling for goals and suffered another defeat against Aston Villa last weekend. But having impressed as a second half substitute at Villa Park, Nene is now hoping he has done enough to persuade Sam Allardyce to hand him his full debut.Nene, speaking on West Ham TV, said: “I wanted to play more but I respect the staff. I work every day to do my best to play and to help the team and when I get the chance I want to show I can help my teammates.“It was difficult but this is football. I’m happy here and I hope in the final two games I can get more minutes.“We need to work hard in the last two games and do our best to get the most points possible.” Nene in action for West Ham 1last_img read more
