Girlfriend of missing Endicott man speaks out about disappearance

first_imgEndicott Police say the investigation is ongoing and to call its line at (607) 785-3341 with any information. Dominic Davy is a Binghamton University professor, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a father. The 30-year-old was last seen leaving his home in Endicott 4 a.m. Friday, April 10. ENDICOTT (WBNG) — Dominic Davy has been reported missing since early Friday morning and his girlfriend is calling for his safe return. Meanwhile, Amber Oglesby says she just hopes where Dominic is that he is safe, saying, “I love him and the boys love him and if something’s going on that we might not be aware of that’s going on…to just let us know he’s okay.” Oglesby says Davy would often leave the home as early as four o’clock in the morning to go for runs on trails along the Susquehanna River. His brown Jeep was found near the river at 400 River Terrace in Endicott.center_img His girlfriend, Amber Oglesby, says it is unlike him to not tell her where he is or when he’d be home. Endicott Police say they conducted a search in the river near where his Jeep was found. So far, Endicott Police say they have not found evidence that would indicate criminal activity, but they are not yet ruling out suspicion. “He always let’s me know if he has to stay late to talk to his students or what time he’ll be home or when he’s leaving,” said Oglesby.last_img read more

Nose tackle Wayne Williams no longer part of SU football after being granted release

first_imgSenior nose tackle Wayne Williams is no longer part of the Syracuse football team, SU Athletics spokeswoman Sue Edson confirmed Tuesday afternoon. She added that Williams has been granted his release to pursue transfer options.Williams was placed behind redshirt freshman Kayton Samuels at the nose tackle position on the post-spring practice depth chart and played only five games due to injury  in 2014 after transferring from ASA (New York) College. Last season, he totaled nine tackles, four of which came of the unassisted variety, and recovered one fumble. The senior’s departure leaves SU even thinner on a line that has taken several hits in the recent past. Not only did Eric Crume, Micah Robinson and Robert Welsh all graduate from the defensive line, but Isaiah Johnson, Marcus Coleman and Ryan Sloan are no longer part of the team because of injury or transfer.Williams battled weight issues when he came to Syracuse and looked to turn those around in 2014, but his potential never came to fruition despite losing a significant amount of weight. SU now only returns John Raymon as a defensive tackle with game experience. Head coach Scott Shafer has praised the preseason play of redshirt freshmen Samuels and Chris Slayton, and may need contributions out of incoming freshmen defensive tackles Steven Clark, Tyler Cross and Anthony Giudice as well. Bulls won’t sit Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr. due to ‘competitive spirit,’ Jim Boylen says

first_img Robert Williams III leaves first Celtics start after scary fall #Bulls won’t commit to shutting down Zach LaVine and Otto Porter Jr. now and go for draft lottery positioning because they “want to honor the principles” they’re trying to establish, Jim Boylen says. He cited “competitive spirit.”— Cody Westerlund (@CodyWesterlund) March 23, 2019UPDATE: Zach LaVine is OUT tonight against the Jazz.— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) March 23, 2019Chicago announced that Chandler Hutchinson and Wendell Carter Jr. will sit for the remainder of 2018-19 though. Related News Boylen said his reasoning for this was the team’s “competitive spirit” ahead of the Bulls’ game against the Jazz. However, LaVine will sit against Utah. Jim Boylen indicated the Bulls won’t give up on this season Saturday.Chicago’s coach said it would not sit key players like guard Zach LaVine and swingman Otto Porter Jr. for the rest of the year, despite being far from playoff contention. Both Chandler Hutchison and Wendell Carter Jr. are officially out for the rest of the season. – Executive VP of Basketball Operations John Paxson— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) March 23, 2019Boylen replaced Fred Hoiberg as head coach after Chicago’s 5-19 start to the season. The Bulls now enter their matchup with Utah at 21-52 and rank 13th in the Eastern Conference standings.Chicago is among the favorites to land the top pick in the 2019 draft, but it appears Boylen would rather fight until the very end than bet on a top tier lottery selection.last_img read more
