For others, they could be the start of a long hard road to try to get into work and create a viable future for themselves.Employers continually report school isn’t preparing young people for the world of work and this is why the UK has a continuing problem of high levels of youth unemployment. But is that the only reason?In this video webinar, in partnership with learndirect, we discuss this issue and consider the impact of youth unemployment on the long-term growth and competitiveness of the British economy.We’ll discuss some of the possible reasons behind the high levels of youth unemployment in the UK and explore what can be done about it.
